Stone Stamcor’s LS-series lugs are compression (crimp) ring lugs made from high-conductivity electrolytic copper and tin plated. They are the standard way to terminate copper cable onto breakers, busbars, battery terminals, inverters, motors and earth bars. Stone Stamcor has the range tested by an independent laboratory to SANS IEC 61238-1, the standard for compression connectors on power cables.

Every size here is the same lug in the same material. Only the barrel (cable size) and the palm hole (stud size) change, so pick your two sizes above to see the price and stock for that lug.

How to choose the right lug

1. Cable size. Match the cross-section of your conductor in mm² – it is printed on the cable sheath. For flexible, fine-stranded cable (welding cable, battery leads) Stone Stamcor recommends going one cable size up.
2. Stud hole. Match the bolt or terminal the lug fits onto – for example an M8 battery or inverter terminal takes the 8mm hole.
3. Crimp. Use a hexagonal crimp die of the matching size for standard stranded cable, or an indent crimp for flexible cable. A correct crimp squeezes out the air and leaves a solid, low-resistance joint.
