SBU surface-mount DB boards

A distribution board (DB) houses your main switch, earth-leakage unit and circuit breakers. These SBU boards mount on the surface of the wall, which makes them ideal for renovations, outbuildings, garages, solar and inverter installations, and anywhere you can’t recess a board into the wall. Choose a flush board to set it into the wall instead.

DIN rail or Samite?

This is the most important choice, because the board must match your breakers:

• DIN rail boards take modern clip-on MCBs such as our NUR ND3 DIN-rail breakers.
• Samite boards take Samite-mount breakers such as CBI QA1 and NUR NU47.

How many modules?

One module is the width of one single-pole breaker. A 2-pole breaker takes 2 modules and a 3-pole takes 3. Add up everything you’re fitting (main switch, earth-leakage unit, surge arrester, breakers) and then allow a few spare spaces for future circuits.
