MCE cartridge fuses
Cylindrical cartridge fuses protect a circuit by melting and breaking it if too much current flows. Unlike a breaker, a blown fuse is replaced, not reset. They fit DIN-rail fuse holders, fused switch-disconnectors and combiner boxes.
How to choose
- Size first. The fuse must physically match your holder: 10×38mm, 14×51mm or 22×58mm (diameter × length).
- Then the rating. Replace a blown fuse with the same amp rating. Never fit a bigger one to stop it blowing, because the fuse is protecting the cable.
