MCE AC contactors (240V coil)
A contactor is a heavy-duty relay. A small 240V control signal from a switch, timer, float switch or thermostat pulls in the contactor, which then switches a much bigger load, such as a borehole pump, motor, geyser or bank of lights. These MCE D-series units (D1210, D1810, D2510, D3210) have a 240V AC coil and mount on a DIN rail.
How to choose
- Choose a rating above the running current of the load. Motors and pumps draw extra current when they start, so allow a margin or ask us.
- The coil is 240V AC, so the control circuit must be 240V AC.
