Which size

6mm² solar – typical panel strings on home systems.
10mm² solar – longer runs or higher-current arrays, to keep losses down.
35mm² battery – battery bank to inverter on most home inverters. Keep the run as short as possible.

Use red for positive (+) and black for negative (–). Pair battery cable with the right 35mm² copper lugs and heat shrink.
