Colliers waste traps

A trap holds a water seal under a basin, sink, bath or shower so drain smells can’t come back into the room.

• P trap – outlet goes out horizontally into the wall.
• S trap – outlet goes down into the floor.
• Bath trap + overflow – includes the overflow pipe from the bath’s overflow hole.
• Double-bowl combination – joins both sink bowls into one trap.
• Sizes are waste inlet × outlet (e.g. 40×40mm). Basins usually use 32mm; sinks, baths and showers 40mm.
